Maritime Industry Researcher - CESMI Forum 2015 Conference

Description of Internship:
Opportunity to work directly with senior and corporate level executives from various fields to organize and prepare for a major international conference to be held in Santa Monica this October. CESMI "Creating an Environmentally Sustainable Maritime Industry" lean more at: www.cesmiforum.org

This will be a Research position that requires gathering information about companies and executives from around the globe that are in the offshore and shore side maritime industry.

Information to be collected via the Internet, by making phone calls and by other direct and indirect contact. Information will be gathered by the Intern and presented to management and staff in face-to-face meetings, teleconferences and by written communication. Intern will be responsible to organize information within an database, online Wordpress type blog, etc. for easy future reference and access by multiple stakeholders.

In addition to research there will be opportunity to communicate, network and get to know industry leaders and executives that are organizers, advisors, panelists and speakers if the CESMI Conference.

Seeking:
• College Student - Detail oriented, energetic, optimistic and diligent.

Time Commitment:
• 15-20 hours per week

Compensation:
• Unpaid Position. However, College credit can be arranged.

Internship location:
• Port Tech LA offices at 302 W. 5th Street San Pedro, CA 90731. Some work may be done off-site.

Supervisor:
• Intern's direct supervisor will be ___________. Intern will also Report to Knut Oxnevad of the CESMI Conference.

Start date:
• Julyand August 2014 for Summer Internship
• September 2014 for Fall Internship
